Yes, this is basically one of the most basic life’s principles, but people do it anyway from time to time for various reasons. We are not here to judge those who were forced to lie due to circumstances, but to take a look at digital marketing liars. That is, the people who talk big on the
online ads and sales promotions all across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, yet fail to produce anything promised on it.
Sure, we may exaggerate a few things to endear people to buy our products, but there is a difference between ‘exaggerated talk’ and ‘blatant lies’. Your cereal is made of the best corn and chocolate, you say? Cool. Wait, the customers complain that the real product is actually made of bananas and coffee beans... They’re suing you and we don’t want help, sorry not sorry.
Innovate
No matter how good your product is, digital marketing can’t keep getting it to top sales chart if it hasn’t offering anything new for a good while. Make some innovations like new flavors, new colors, new types, new spin off products, events, and so on. If you can’t innovate and yet blame the digital marketing staff for not hyping the public enough (a.k.a. lying), we’ll be taking you to our lawyers.
